Sun Safety Tips

  1. Generously apply sunscreen to all exposed skin using a SPF of at least 15. Re-apply every two hours, even on cloudy days, after swimming or sweating.
  2. Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirts, pants, wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses, when possible.
  3. Seek shade when appropriate, remembering the sun’s rays are the strongest between 10 am and 4 pm.
  4. Use extra caution near water, snow and sand as they reflect the damaging rays of the sun.
  5. Protect children by applying sunscreen.
  6. Avoid tanning beds.
